The ABF Foundation
Founded in 2020, the ABF Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to securing the future of bridge. Through grants and scholarships, it supports vital research and initiatives that strengthen the game and its community.
Sustained by bequests, donations, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation has already made a significant impact and is actively pursuing charity status.
A central focus for the Foundation from 2025 to 2028 is the ambitious goal to grow a nationwide
Bridge in Schools program—one that is scalable and sustainable.
Funds raised through Australia’s Bridge Day Out will directly contribute to making this a reality. Many of Australia’s top bridge players generously volunteer their time and expertise to support the fundraiser, helping to advance the Foundation’s projects and bring excitement to players across the country!
